Pre-Destruction and Destruction[]
Before the planet of Sateda was destroyed by the Wraith, the Satedans ran attack missions against the Wraith, taking out facilities and other things. In 1997 they received intel that the wraith were going to attack. About 1000 people were evacuated before the wraith attacked. The Satedans fought to the last man, and took quite a few wraith down. Ronon Dex was swept up to a Wraith Hive, and turned into a runner. Sateda was no more, and only the 1000 evacuated people and Ronon survived. Ronon was eventually picked up by Colonel Sheppards team. He joined their team, and eventually found the thousand survivors. He kept fighting the Wraith until the end of the Wraith war. Then he rejoined his people as their leader.
Rebuilding[]
When Ronon rejoined them the Satedans went in search of a new planet. Eventually they found one, named it New Sateda, and built the town of Modina on its surface. A Daedalus class ship with which they could protect the planet was given to them by GATO, which they reverse engineered, and started to build their own. They built 5 Daedalus Class ships without any help. Within 10 years they had their own form of ship, a Ronon Dex class ship. They colonized another two planets: Novana and Sakan, and rebuilt their entire society.
Now[]
The Satedans are now famous in the galaxy as explorers, and sometimes act as guides to those who are new to the galaxy, and sometimes boys and girls are sent for a year with them, which is sort of like interplanetary boy scouts and girl guides. The Destinas general Ranto Gillick spent 5 years of his life with them, and is related to some.
