The inferior nature of SG-U's Stargates. why?[1]Edit[]
The only reasons they would be more primitive then milkway gates is if 1-They were older,which seems to be the case,because of when the seed ships were launched,and the fact that a milkyway gate was found that was at least 30 million years old. And 2- If the seed ship was trying to conserve resources by building inferior gates,which is a lame excuse,and bad in the long run. So,i think the SG-U gates can look the same as they do,(ancient asthetics) but be just as good as the other gates. Also,why the heck are their no D.H.Ds??!! probably just to make the stories more dramatic or something i.d.k. But it doesent make that much sense. It would be alot harder for various races to figure out the gate system with out the abilitys of a D.H.D.,the lock limet of a gate with no D.H.D is 300 light years,lame. Yuo know how long it would take to cross a galaxy? the M.W is 100k light years across. The seed ships could chart the galaxy well they go useing their longrange sensors,and build D.H.D's for the gates. Just some thoughts.
